The legendary Aurora 88 fountain pen, designed in 1952 by Marcello Nizzoli to reinvigorate the Italian company in the harsh post-war context and compete with the no less famous Parker 51, resurfaces with the launch of an impressive collection that combines the timeless classic lines of its predecessor and the modern technology currently used in the manufacture of writing instruments.

These characteristics are reflected in the Ottantotto 817 fountain pen, a manageable “small size” with a body and mouthpiece made of quality black resin, a chrome cap with striped guilloche decoration, a snap closure and a band with the name of the firm at its base. Its rings and other ornamental elements are also chrome-plated.

The loading system chosen for this model is the ink cartridge, which, however, can be easily modified to the plunger with the Aurora 158-C converter (not included) by those users who prefer refilling through the ink fountain.

It has an extraordinary 14-carat rhodium-plated solid gold nib that is available, along with the most common points —EF, F, M, B and BB—, in unusual options such as italic or stub, which expand the traditional offer for satisfy all types of users.
