Elox
Its aerodynamic profile, strongly influenced by the Aero model and, therefore, by the silhouette of airships, but revised to give it a more futuristic appearance thanks, among other things, to the different geometric patterns chiseled on its body and its hood, and its double-anodized aluminum construction are the most characteristic features of the fountain pens that make up the Diplomat Elox collection.
The term “Elox” comes from the German word “eloxieren”, which literally means “anodize” and places us facing one of the most important qualities of the fountain pens in the Elox collection: the innovative double anodizing treatment of its surface. Thus, in a first phase the black sections are treated and, in a second moment, the most colorful areas or elements are anodized. In this way, a perfect finish and a more pronounced chromatic contrast between its different parts is achieved.
Beyond this notable feature, which shows, once again, the inexhaustible innovative desire of those responsible for Diplomat, it is worth highlighting the use of aluminum in the manufacture of the bodies, caps and grip sections of the Elox fountain pens. A resistant and light material that, in addition to allowing it to be anodized, increases the solidity of these pieces and facilitates their use in long writing sessions.
Finally, it is worth highlighting that, as happens in almost all Diplomat collections, Elox fountain pens are made available to the public with two different nib options, stainless steel or solid 14-karat gold, so that everyone can choose depending on their preferences or their financial availability.
