Duofold

Among the many achievements of the company Parker throughout its long history the fountain pen Duofold occupies a prominent place. A piece that launched to the market in the year 1921 that motivated a success of such dimensions that would ultimately become a milestone in the world of writing instruments making the American firm one of the giants of the sector.

Its main handler was Lewis M. Trebbel, a commercial that, demonstrating a great business vision, proposed the creation of a fountain pen with some unusual characteristics for the time with the conviction that it would have great acceptance among their customers. Therefore the Parker Duofold was born, a pen of great size and high price that, when faced with the overwhelming dominance of the colour black in the writing instruments of this time, was created in ebonite of a striking orange red tone, specificity of colours that you would then make it worth of the nickname "Big Network".

Firstly considered a commercial experiment, the sales figure accomplished in few months led to those responsible for the company to raise its production on a large scale, which would remain in a discontinuous fashion until our days with the introduction of new colours, sizes and materials in order to adapt to the changing aesthetic inclinations of each historical moment.

Currently the collection Duofold constitutes the focus of the range of products the company Parker offers, all an example of a perfect craftsmanship, delicacy and formal technical refinement that is divided into three distinct lines —Limited Edition, Classic and Prestige. It has been made available to the public in various colours, finishes and in two variants, differentiated by their size: The Duofold International and Centennial. The legend continues.
