In 1921, Parker launched one of the greatest milestones in its history: the Duofold fountain pen, an impressive orange-red writing pen that, in a risky commercial strategy, broke with the absolute predominance of black in the manufacture of fountain pens. Its success was such that in the following years the range would be expanded with the launch of new versions in different colors. Since then, this legendary model has been periodically recovered in various collections that, maintaining its essential features, have been able to adapt to the times with the inclusion of small aesthetic variations in line with the prevailing tastes and the incorporation of the most advanced technology available at all historical times.

Modernity and tradition are combined in this way with great brilliance in pieces such as the Parker Duofold Classic Red Vintage Centennial fountain pen, an exceptional work that pays tribute to one of the most successful models of the North American company, recovering its primitive essence, its original color and, in a beautiful nod to the past, the legend printed on the barrel with the name of the brand within an elegant lettering and, above the previous one, the name of the model, a common practice in the different fountain pen manufacturers of the first decades of the 20th century, the Golden Age of writing pens, which Parker wants to recover with pieces like the one in question, establishing it, along with its fellow collections, as a new flagship for the brand and an undoubted reference in the world of writing instruments.

With dimensions slightly larger than its “little sister”, the International version, this exquisite fountain pen is made of precious orange-red resin with a glossy finish and is hand-finished to ensure perfect assembly and correct functioning.

Its elegant lines are characterized by a serene classicism and are enlivened by the refined ornamental details that are distributed along its surface. The latter are plated in palladium and introduce a beautiful chromatic contrast with the predominant red color in the piece, standing out especially, along with the delicate rings arranged in the shorts and the grip section, its well known arrow-shaped clip or the wide tripartite band located at the base of the cap, the spectacular jewel that crowns the previous one, with the name of the collection and an intricate ace of spades standing out in relief.

As for its nib, it is available in fine (F) and medium (M) points and is made of solid 18-karat gold with a beautiful rhodium mask in which the "ace of spades" motif is again repeated. A magnificent element adorned with a delicious stamped decoration that includes, among other things, the name of the collection and the goldsmith's marks indicating the purity of the gold used in its manufacture —“18K-750”.
