There have been many successes from the firm Aurora along its almost centenary history, but its greatest achievement was undoubtedly the creation, in the year 1970, of its legendary model Hastil, which immediately became a global highlight in the field of writing instruments, for its revolutionary proposals on an aesthetic level and its extremely innovative technical solutions. It was even incorporated into the funds of the prestigious Museum of Modern Art in New York (MOMA), where even today it is exhibited permanently.

Designed by the architect Marco Zanuso, who, inspired by the minimalist artistic moment that was popular during those dates, conceived a singular fountain pen of refined lines and elegant forms, reducing to only the essential, to dissociate this pieces of all superfluous decorative elements, an almost perfect metal cylinder in which even the clip is adhered to the body using an ingenious spring mechanism in order not to break its modernized silhouette. All of this without renouncing to the introduction of innovative technical resources like the "Idrograph" feeding system, composed of two lungs, one primary and the other secondary that, taking advantage of the capillarity, ensure a constant and balanced supply of ink recovering, at the same time, the potential flow excesses that may occur.
