Other origins fountain pens
It is evident that, due to the specificity of their products, the complexity of their production processes and the need for a highly specialized workforce, only a handful of countries have occupied, throughout history, the privileged places in the manufacturing and marketing of writing instruments sector.
Germany, Italy, Japan and the United States are probably the countries of origin of the most prominent fountain pen brands. They would be joined by others such as France or England, which, with ups and downs, also experienced critical moments in terms of the production and sale of these items, although it is true that, for some decades, their predominant role has been seen noticeably diminished.
In contrast to them, as time went by, other nations joined, more or less punctually, the leading group of the main fountain pen brands. Thus, in Spain, in the 40s of the 20th century, the Inoxcrom company would see the light, a family business that would come to gain considerable prominence in the sector and that, after years of certain decline, has re-emerged strongly. A different case would be that of TWSBI, a young company based in Taiwan that has emerged with great power thanks to its good work and the extraordinary quality-price ratio of its products.
We are therefore faced with a heterogeneous set of nations and brands, with different characteristics and virtues, but united by the same desire: the satisfaction of their customers through the creation of items defined by their beauty and functionality.
