Otto
The launch of the Zero model in 2020 marked the beginning of a painstaking process of experimentation and development that sought to determine the path to be followed by the famous Italian brand Montegrppa in some of its most important high-end designs. This would be continued two years later with the launch of the Quattro line, which contrasts its characteristic quadrangular shape with the circular profile of its predecessor. The culmination of this evolution came in 2025 with the appearance of the Otto collection, a superb series of fountain pens characterized by luxurious materials, high performance, and, above all, its unique octagonal design, with an eight-sided faceted profile that softens at the edges with a delicate curve that facilitates grip and significantly increases its elegance and refinement. In short, we are faced with complex and dynamic forms that demand high manufacturing precision and pose a true challenge for the operators in charge of their production.
The Montegrappa Otto collection is inspired by the world of modern fine watchmaking and pays tribute to the prestigious designer Gérald Genta. These two ambitious references, not only reflected in their design, but also in the rich materials of their pens. These writing pens feature high-density acrylic bodies and caps combined with sapphire crystal and are enriched with polished steel trim. These tools are available to the public in three different ion-plated options, defining the three models or finishes that make up this fabulous line of fountain pens: Yellow Gold, Palladium, or Ultra-Black. In all three cases, we find ourselves before a captivating repertoire of pens that places us before the true grandeur, spectacularity, and exclusivity of the Otto collection.
