Pelikan
The origin of the German company of writing instruments Pelikan dates back to April 1838, the time on which the chemist Carl Hornemann undertakes the marketing of ink, watercolours and oil paintings in the area of the city of Hannover. A few decades later, in 1871, the emerging business would be acquired by its head of production, Günther Wagner, who adopted the image of the pelican that appeared on his family’s emblem and registered the brand, which quickly would become a main one in its sector.
Since then, the Pelikan fountain pens have been characterized by their quality and elegance. Their pieces are currently distributed in 3 different lines: The Limited line, the Premium line and the Elegance line, whose particular characteristics differ between each other and specialize in the preferences of the different audiences, proposing varied collections, but without losing sight of the company’s philosophy.
The formula that Pelikan has been applying for more than 125 years is seemingly simple but difficult to carry out and, above all, to maintain for so long. And it is none other than their customer orientation, offering a quality fountain pen with a very high reliability, knowing how to suit various tastes and needs through the decades and the fashions and proposing at all times a balance between technology, tradition and creativity, all of these represented in a brand of recognized prestige as is Pelikan.
