Japanese brand Platinum inaugurates its limited edition My Favorite Things line, a set of pieces inspired by those things we like in our daily lives, with the launch of the first model in this series: the Platinum 3776 Century My Favorite Things Coffe Jelly fountain pen. As its name suggests, the source of inspiration for this fountain pen is the famous coffee jelly sweet served at Kissa-ten, the most famous retro-style coffee shop in Japan. This explains the choice of colors for this fabulous piece, which includes a cap, grip section and resin culotte in a dark brown shade reminiscent of coffee jelly and a maroon resin body reminiscent of the color of cherry that usually crowns this appetizing sweet.

Regarding the rest, the Platinum 3776 Century My Favorite Things Coffe Jelly writing pen participates in the design of the famous line of 3776 Century fountain pens, Platinum's most famous collection and a model created with the aim of commemorating the brand's first centenary. Its characteristic shapes have their origin in a design devised by master Haruo Umeda, who in 1978 developed a nib, a feeder and a mold that was named 3776 in allusion to the height in meters of the most sacred and well-known mountain in Japan: Mount Fuji. Based on this design, Platinum would end up developing the current 3776 Century model.

Among the most notable features of this model are aesthetic details such as the double ring located at the lower end of the cap, embossed with the name of the brand and the collection in which it is part, and its elegant clip, with a silhouette rounded and with a beautiful profile that highlights its perimeter, but also functional elements such as its "Slip & Seal" sealing system, a watertight closing mechanism designed by Platinum to preserve fresh ink in the nib after months of disuse, its practical cartridge or converter loading system and the secure screw closure of its cap.

The nib of the 3776 Century Coffee Jelly fountain pen is made of solid 14K gold and has the usual engraved decoration of the Century model, consisting of a beautiful heart-shaped breathing hole, a double line that runs along the perimeter of the hawks and imitates the shape of Mount Fuji, the number 3776 that is part of the name of the collection and recalls the height in meters of the aforementioned mountain, the "P" for Platinum and the references to the purity of the gold used in its manufacture and the width of its point, which in this case is available in fine point (F).

The Platinum My Favorite Things Coffee Jelly fountain pen is a limited edition of 2,000 units worldwide and is presented in a personalized gift box that, in addition to the writing pen, includes an ink cartridge, a converter and a 20 ml inkwell with a mixable ink formulated specifically for this occasion: Platinum Mixable Ink Dark Syrup, a brown ink that evokes the tone of maple syrup used to sweeten coffee jelly.
