The famous Italian company Aurora pays an emotional tribute to Jorge Mario Bergoglio, the proclaimed Pope Francis, and to Saint Francis of Assisi, founder of the Franciscan mendicant order and source of inspiration for a pontificate that aims to change the course of the Church by recovering its essence primitive, with a spectacular limited and numbered edition writing pen: the Aurora Francesco fountain pen. A unique piece that dazzles with its refinement, its impeccable design loaded with religious symbolism and the unmatched quality of the materials with which it is made.

Significantly stands out among all its components is its impressive cap made, like the other ornamental elements, in solid 925 thousandths silver. Its delicate silhouette aims to schematically emulate the shapes of the papal tiara and is crowned, on the head, with a semi-precious sky blue stone in clear reference to the flag of Argentina, the Pope's native land, a tribute that is repeated in the Beautiful body of the pen, made of marbled resin of the same shade.

On both sides of the clip there are two heraldic shields deliciously engraved in silver: on one hand, the coat of arms presided over by a checkered eagle, the emblem of Pope Innocent III, contemporary of Saint Francis and head of the Catholic Church at the time of the founding of the Franciscan order, authorized by him in the spring of 1209. At the opposite end is the shield adopted by the current Pontiff, with the emblem of the Society of Jesus, the order of which he is a member, presiding over it in its central area with the monogram of Christ, the cross, the nails and some solar rays, and, on a lower plane, a five-pointed star, symbol of the Virgin Mary, and a tuberose flower, which represents Saint Joseph, patron saint of the Universal Church.

This delicious jewell has an efficient integrated plunger loading system, a practical window for controlling the ink level in the tank and the Aurora's exclusive reserve storage, which once activated allows writing on approximately one sheet additional.

As for its extraordinary nib, it is made of solid 18-karat gold with rhodium-plated treatment and is available in a wide variety of thicknesses, including the most common EF, F, M, B and BB, but also more uncommon cuts such as italic, stub or oblique. In a final tribute to the Supreme Pontiff and, specifically, to his year of birth, the production of this wonderful work is limited to only 936 copies, which makes it a prized collector's item within the reach of a privileged few.
