Pigmented ink cartridges for Sailor brand fountain pens. Each box contains 12 blue-black ink cartridges compatible, due to their morphology and the diameter of their mouthpiece, with all models of Sailor fountain pens with the exception of those included in the Chalana collection, which due to their smaller thickness require the use of specific cartridges.

Unlike what happens in water-based inks, in which, as the name suggests, the colorants are dissolved in water, in pigmented or permanent inks micropigments are used that do not dissolve and remain in suspension. This different formulation translates, in the case of the pigmented ones, into greater resistance to water and ultraviolet rays, greater durability of the intensity of the colors over time and more precise finishes due to less feathering. These virtues make them the recommended inks for writing documents of special importance that want to be preserved in the best conditions long after being written, but it is important to note that, in return, they require more careful maintenance of our fountain pens, since If it dries inside after a considerable period of time without use, solidification could occur that would interrupt the ink flow in the nib and the feeder, generating obstructions and poor functioning of the fountain pen.
