Platinum Black Pigmented Ink

With the laudable objective of satisfying the diverse tastes of users, Platinum includes excellent quality pigmented inks for fountain pens in its wide range of products.

EAmong them is the Carbon Ink, a permanent ink of intense black color obtained, as its name indicates, by using a carbon base in its production.

Unlike dye-based inks, in which the pigment is perfectly diluted in an aqueous solution, in pigmented inks the color particles do not dissolve completely and are in suspension. This peculiarity gives them a different behavior and their own characteristics, among which the main one would probably be their permanence. This is determined by its greater resistance to water and ultraviolet rays, which is why its use is usually recommended for important documents. To this we must add its great versatility and consistency, with less penetration into the support that provides more defined lines and prevents the appearance of blots or perforation of the paper.

On the other hand, the peculiar composition of these inks makes it advisable to increase the care and cleaning of our fountain pen, since a long period of non-use could cause its evaporation, the appearance of residues and a reduction in flow due to clogging of the feeding system.

In addition to black, Platinum offers other pigmented inks as blue, red-pink and sepia, all of them presented in inkwells with a simple and elegant design with a large mouth that makes it easy to fill the pen and allows it to be reused for cleaning nibs and load systems.
