Pilot Iroshizuku Murasaki-Shikibu ink is named after the plant known as "imperial violet" and is equally inspired by a famous Japanese writer of the Heian era. Its color is a beautiful violet tone and its water-based formulation is designed for use in fountain pens. It comes in a beautiful 50 ml glass inkwell.

The high-end Pilot Iroshizuku Murasaki-Shikibu ink is a violet water-based ink that has the peculiarity of presenting two different sources of inspiration. On the one hand, the plant known as imperial violet, from whose flowers it takes its attractive color. On the other hand, from the writer, poet and courtesan Murasaki Shikibu, author, in the 11th century AD, of the first Japanese novel: Genji Monogatari, also considered the first modern novel of universal literature. Like all inkwells in the Iroshizuku series, Murasaki-Shikibu ink is specially formulated for use with fountain pens and comes in a 50ml blown glass inkwell.
