Lamy Dialog CC Dark Blue Fountain Pen

The Lamy Dialog CC Dark Blue fountain pen presents a renewed design within Lamy's Dialog collection and a material and chromatic proposal consisting of a metal body with a matte dark blue finish and different ornamental details plated in rose gold. As in the case of the original model in this series, we are faced with a creation of enormous quality, carefully made and assembled entirely by hand in the Lamy factory in the German town of Heidelberg.

Among the new features of the Dialog CC line, special mention should be made of its shorter length and more compact design, which facilitate portability and handling, the replacement of its curved upper end with a wavy finish that provides a more elegant and refined look, and, finally, the elimination of the clip, now replaced by a small metal plate engraved with the name of the brand that, apart from its aesthetic contribution, serves as a stop and prevents the fountain pen from rolling and being damaged when rested on a inclined plane.

However, the most outstanding aspect of this piece is the complex and ingenious mechanism designed for the extraction and collection of its retractable nib, which slides from the inside of the pen with a slight turn and is retracted by means of a new rotation while a ball valve slides before the opening provided for this purpose to prevent the ink from drying out in contact with air during times of disuse.

On a functional level, beyond the aforementioned rotating mechanism, the Lamy Dialog CC Dark Blue fountain pen stands out for its loading system using Lamy T 10 ink cartridges or Lamy Z 27 converter and for its efficient two-color nib, made of solid 14-carat gold partially plated in rose gold and palladium. The latter is available in a wide range of thicknesses that includes extra fine (EF), fine (F), medium (M) and broad (B) points.
